A Portrait at the Nicholas
155 subjects! 3 hours! One night only! June 20th 2019
‘A Portrait at the Nicholas’ was a “pop-up” photo studio included as part of the “A Night at the Nicholas” Open Studio program that offered professional dramatic portrait photos to attendees for free!
Each sitting lasted less than a minute and subjects were asked to provide an email address along with their image number. All photos were fully retouched, graded and mailed out a fortnight later.
The project yielded a mailing list and word of mouth marketing, returning subjects for full sessions (offered at a discount for ‘A Portrait at the Nicholas’ participants) as well as an immensely rewarding and challenging amount of practice for myself as photographer and retoucher.
The project was supported by Chantilly Studio and The Nicholas Building Association.
